Sheffield Design Awards 2016

The 2016 Sheffield Design Awards were presented at the awards ceremony, held during  Design Week 2016 at the Sheffield Hallam University Sheffield Institute of Arts within the former Head Post Office building.

A record number of schemes were put forward by architects, clients, and contractors for the 2016 Sheffield Design Awards. Schemes were judged by an expert panel that included Trustees of Sheffield Civic Trust, with awards presented to those buildings and open spaces that have achieved the highest architectural standards and have made a substantial contribution to the local environment.

Congratulations to all the winners including Blackburn Meadows by BDP, which took Best Building Award, Foodhall by Louis Pohl and Jamie Wilde, which took both the Small Project and the People’s Choice Award, and Grey to Green by Sheffield City Council, which scooped the Outstanding Project of the Year (pictured below).
